USS Hawkbill surfacing through ice in the Arctic. This was a story on "Scicex", a scientific program to whom the US Navy "loaned" the program the submarine to do under the ice research on the Arctic sea floor. After surfacing, I boarded the sub for a week stay under the ice. Photo 004
