Print Order Information
Thanks for your interest in obtaining one of my pictures. I’ve been in the business for 40+ years, and shooting for National Geographic since 1988. I’m a Pulitzer Prize winner for work from the war in El Salvador, winner of the “Golden Eye” award in the World Press, and numerous other awards. My work has been highlighted in many publications, reflecting my place in the world of high-end photography.
We offer three levels of prints:
First option is our "affordable" series, with a choice of three sizes: 9" x 12", 15" x 20" and 18" x 24". These are nice quality images, ordered through our online printing service, FotoMoto
Second option is ordering Fine Art prints from our website that will be processed & printed through FotoMoto, a well-known company with a reputation for producing great work. These images are printed on premier photo papers, with your choice of surfaces. Multiple sizes are available.
To access either of these options, go to the bottom of the screen to “Print Orders.” That will take you to an ordering site, where you can choose from either "Photo Prints" or "Fine Art Prints." Choose print size and finish. These prints are sent directly to you from FotoMoto.
The third option is a direct order by calling our office: 303.730-2894. These are the limited edition/signed prints, of which I personally oversee the process. Prints are produced on an HP Z3100 printer, one of the highest quality printers available, and are made on archival papers with archival inks. These prints are output on various fine-art papers, each selected for the best rendering of the image. Print orders are usually fulfilled in 2-3 days, depending on if Jay is in country.
Photoshop is used to “sculpt” the image, rarely cropping or altering, as I believe this changes the artistic “intent” of the photograph. A great photograph is made in the camera.
Life expectancy of the image is over 100 years, in proper viewing and displaying environments (in other words, don’t hang in direct sunlight!) This issue of archiving, specifically for this printer, can be read about here: http://www.wilhelm-research.com/hp/Z3100.html
