Ernest Hemingway's famous short story, "Big Two-Hearted River" was the subject of this National Geographic story. Though the river in the story was a compilation of several rivers, the Fox River in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan ws the foundation for the story. This was the image we used as the opener for the story, which shows this tiny jewel of a river. Photo 011
